Thermal Break

Thermal Break Aluminium Profiles

A thermal break is a feature designed for heat insulation. A nylon strip is placed between two pieces of aluminium profiles to reduce thermal energy and noise. Thermal break aluminium profile is widely used for air handling unit (AHU) profiles and in the cold room industry where excellent thermal efficiency is required.

A thermal break can serve two purposes: inserting a perpendicular thermal break or incorporating a parallel one. Applying the perpendicular thermal break will provide robust heat insulation and noise reduction. On the other hand, a parallel thermal break involves placing the thermal barrier parallel to the aluminium profiles, striking a balance between structural strength and insulation. This process is often chosen when maintaining structural integrity while improving insulation is a priority, such as in milder climates or noise-sensitive environments.
